What is a Paint Enhancement?
Paint enhancement involves polishing a vehicle to improve its appearance, enhancing the paint's gloss without removing it. This process uses products with minimal abrasives and built-in protectants, such as SiO2 or carnauba. Paint enhancement is a temporary service that requires periodic repetition, unlike paint correction, which only needs to be repeated if the vehicle is not maintained properly.
What is Paint Correction?
Paint correction removes hazing, minor scratches, marring, swirl marks, and other blemishes from a vehicle's clear coat. This is achieved using specialized machines like rotary or dual-action polishers and polishing compounds to gradually remove microscopic layers of the clear coat until the surface is smooth.
What's the Difference?
The primary difference lies in the products & supplies used.
